TO ADDRESS CONCERNS OF SOUTHERN STATES OVER LOSING OUT IN DELIMITATION EXERCISE as per Top Government Source:
+Total no of seats will increase by 50%
+ Seats of each state will also go up by 50%
+ Existing proportion of seats of states will remain the same
+ 2011 population is not the binding factor
BUT CAN IT BE DONE?
Yes. In any of 4 ways.
1. Amend Article 81 of the Constitution of India to fix inter-state seat proportions
2. Tweak Article 82 of the Constitution of India to delink strict population criteria
3. Extend/modify freeze via constitutional amendment beyond 2026
4. Mandate Delimitation Commission of India to expand seats, not redistribute

CLAIM: A Morphed News18 report posted by an Pakistani account claims an Indian Army Brigadier was beaten by a mob for criticizing "Operation Sindoor"
REALITY: The video has been morphed with a fake voiceover.
The Actual Incident: On April 11, 2026, Brigadier Parminder Singh Arora and his son were assaulted in South Delhi for a completely different reason.
They had politely asked two men to stop drinking alcohol in a parked Mercedes outside their home.
The Attackers: The drunk men called 7โ8 associates who arrived and beat the officer and his son.
Operation Sindoor: This has no connection to the assault. The claims about "Intelligence Officers" and "government criticism" were fabricated by Pakistani propaganda accounts to spread disinformation.
The incident was a case of assault following an objection to public drinking. The video used is a morphed version of a News18 report where the audio and context have been replaced to spread disinformation
