: A large part of our energy comes from West Asia. The region is important, because a large number of Indians stay in the region. One crore Indians stay in the region, including number of sea farers.

Our big priority has been safety of Indian nationals. 3, 75, 000 Indians have returned to India since the outbreak of war. 1000 Indians have returned from Iran, many of them students.

India has 53 lakh metric tonnes of strategic fuel reserves. Many Indian ships have come via Hormuz in past few days.

6 new urea production sites opened.

Attacks on commercial vessels, closure of Hormuz strait unacceptable; Attacks on energy infra is condemnable. Dialogue & diplomacy is the only way to resolve the conflict.

Coastal, border, cyber, strategic installation security has been increased.

We need to be prepared for long term impact.
