Bengaluru to get France's Station F-like #AI Superpark; NVIDIA, Bharat1 to house over 25,000 researchers

NVIDIA has partnered with Bharat1 AI Research & Innovation City to build a large-scale artificial intelligence (AI) innovation campus in Bengaluru, modelled on France's Station F startup hub, in a move aimed at creating a unified ecosystem for AI researchers, startups, and enterprises in India.

The proposed B1 AI Superpark is designed to house more than 25,000 AI researchers and engineers and will serve as the first operational phase of the broader Bharat1 AI City, a sustainable AI innovation district focused on building AI technologies from India for global markets.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has won a "Significant" order, valued between ₹1,000 and ₹2,500 crores, from the Department of Atomic Energy to construct the LIGO India Observatory in Aundha (Hingoli District), Maharashtra.

The 48-month flagship "Mega Science" project, carried out in collaboration with premier Indian institutes and US partners such as Caltech and MIT, involves highly specialised civil infrastructure and an ultra-high-vacuum-compatible 8 km beam tube.
