• School Closures Adding Insult: Since 2014, 89,441 govt schools have shut down, with BJP-ruled MP (29,410) and UP (25,126) accounting for 60%—pushing over 2 crore kids out of education and into poverty.
• Education budget reduction: Educational expenditure as % of GDP has reduced from 4.77% to 2.50%, a reduction of 50%!
According to United Nations, a minimum of 15% of GDP for Education is mandatory for the country to progress.
