Sweeping order by the Supreme Court on Stray Dogs
Reports on SC Directions -

1. Delhi Govt, MCD, NDMC to pick up dogs from all localities, particularly vulnerable localities. How to do it is for them to look into. If they need to create a force, need to do at the earliest. Should not be any compromise.

2. All authorities to have records of dogs captured, to be produced before us for the next hearing. Not a single dog picked up from any part, should be released back

3. Delhi Govt, MCD, NDMC (noida and gurgaon) directed to immediately create dog shelters, pounds all over Delhi within 8 weeks.

4. Govt shall begin by creating dog shelters for 5000 dogs in 6-8 weeks.

5. Dog to be detained in pounds. Dog shelter would be monitored by CCTV to ensure that no dogs are taken out.

6. In case of dog bites, said dog should be captured, sterilised.

7. Any resistance by individuals, organisations will be viewed seriously. Will be liable to face contempt. Said dog shall be captured, immunised. Shall not be released #Policy
