Gujarat Government appeals to Family Members of People onboard ill-fated Air India plane to give DNA samples to help identify deceased.

John Barnett, a former Boeing quality manager, spent years warning that 787s were being assembled with serious defects:

• Deliberate use of substandard parts

• Faulty oxygen systems in up to 1 in 4 planes

• Metal shavings near wiring that could trigger mid-air disasters

• Pressure to cover up quality failures to keep production moving

He said Boeing prioritized speed and profit over safety — and was punished for speaking out.

The UK Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) will send expert in the Indian safety investigation. This is in accordance with ICAO Annex 13 because UK citizens were on board the aircraft.
