📢 UPDATE: Changes in Government Procurement Rules! 🇮🇳

As of June 05, 2025, the General Financial Rules (GFR) 2017 have been amended, bringing a significant shift for scientific ministries in India. The mandatory use of the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) for acquiring research equipment is no longer required, effective today, June 07, 2025! 🎉

🔍 What’s New?
🔹Applies to ministries like Science & Technology, Atomic Energy, and others.
🔹Raises procurement limits (e.g., up to ₹1 crore without tendering under Rule 154).
🔹Aims to speed up imports and purchases of specialized scientific tools.
