Ganga Water Treaty expires in 2026. The treaty allows Bangladesh to get 50% of the share of Ganga Water Flow if

1. Flow is at or below 70,000 cusecs
2. If above 70,000 cusecs then Bangladesh gets 35,000 cusecs and India keeps the rest.
3. Emergency meeting of both the parties if it falls below 50,000 cusecs

India also grantee's 35,000 cusecs of Water flow in the critical month of April for the First & Last 10 days

The new positions aren’t only traditional back-office jobs that U.S. companies have offshored for years. Chevron intends to hire engineers, geologists & environmental scientists in India as part of a $1 billion investment to develop an engineering & innovation hub near Bellandur.

Exxon Mobil has also been expanding in India, with a tech hub that helps oversee work related to its Guyana project and other assets.

European oil giants Shell, BP and TotalEnergies were early entrants to the job market in India, where they made investments in lubricants, gas and renewable energy. Together, they employ more than 21,000 in the country.
