Ultratech collected 400 metric tons of plastic waste from Maha Kumbh and processed it as an alternative fuel at UltraTech’s unit, Dalla Cement Works located in Sonbhadra, UP.

This approach reduces reliance on use of conventional fossil fuels for cement manufacturing while also reducing societal burden for landfill due to plastic waste as well as minimising the environmental risk of plastic waste leaching into soil, and water bodies.
