With the success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission, ISRO and JAXA will work together to launch LUPEX (Chandrayaan-4) in 2026.

LUPEX will land at the Moon’s South Pole with the primary goals to look for the presence of water on the Moon and its usability for future astronauts.

The data gathered from this mission will allow engineers to know how much water will be needed to be brought from Earth for future crewed missions to the Moon.

Water will be the most valuable resource for crewed missions to space as it can be converted to oxygen for breathing, hydrogen for rocket fuel, act as radiation shielding, and of course, for drinking.

PM Narendra Modi conferred with the Grand Cross of the Order of Honour by Greek President Katerina N. Sakellaropoulou in Athens.

Indian MoD today signed a contract with Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL), Visakhapatnam for the acquisition of 5 Fleet Support Ships (FSS) for the Indian Navy at an overall cost of approx. Rs 19,000 crore.

The FSS will be employed for replenishing ships at sea with fuel, water, ammunition and stores, enabling the Indian Naval Fleet to operate for prolonged periods without returning to harbour. These ships would enhance the strategic reach and mobility of the Fleet. #Defence

Students and researchers of Sona College of Technology developed the simplex permanent magnet stepper motor for the actuator assembly of LVM-3 (that launched Chandrayan-3) that controlled the rocket engine’s liquid fuel and oxidizer mixture ratio.
