After US GE engines now France has given defence major Safran the go-ahead to jointly design, develop, test, manufacture & finally certify an engine with India that will power twin-engine AMCA & the twin-engine deck-based fighter for Indian aircraft carriers : Report

Despite the Center's silence on the deal, media sources have revealed Safran offering 100% technology transfer.

On the margins of the Paris Air Show 2023, DRDO director Dr. Samir V. Kamat recently paid a special visit to the Safran engine production and the R&D facility close to Paris.
