RBI's first pilot of Digital Rupee - Wholesale segment kicked off on Tuesday, November 1 and the maiden test went off without a hitch. On the first day of the pilot, 48 G-Sec trades were carried out for a total of Rs 275 crore.

G-Secs are securities which carry a fixed or floating coupon (interest rate) which is paid on the face value, on half-yearly basis.
