Central Govt has finalized rules for the entry of foreign universities into India by the #GIFT city

→ New rules will mandate that courses and degrees be identical to foreign campuses and enjoy the "same recognition and status" as original campuses.

→ They will be free of ‘inflexible’ domestic laws and controls on fees, admissions, appointments, and bar on revenue repatriation

→ IFSCA laws for ‘organizing and operation of worldwide department campuses and offshore training centers at GIFT' have been notified this week

"One Department of International Trade source claimed that Truss had undermined the negotiations by regularly messaging Piyush Goyal, the Indian minister of commerce and industry who is in charge of the talks."
