PM Modi inaugurates India's first Biotech Startup Expo 2022 in Delhi

Under the Bharat Gaurav scheme, IRCTC will connect two countries via a tourist train that will connect India and Nepal.

In fact, the IRCTC takes the title of the first agency to accomplish this milestone as the tourist train plying under the Bharat Gaurav Scheme of Indian Railways will depart from New Delhi on June 21 on the Shri Ramayana Yatra Circuit, according to an official statement by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC).

Govt to begin helicopter service from Srinagar to Amarnath this year

Ministry of Home Affairs has directed Jammu and Kashmir administration to begin helicopter service from Srinagar for Amarnath Yatra. With this, pilgrims can directly travel from Srinagar to Panchtarni, located six kilometres from the Amarnath cave, for the first time and can trek to the shrine. The decision reportedly came considering the heavy tourist rush on the Amarnath Yatra route.

Nepal to handover contract for construction of 750 MW West Seti Hydel to Indian company

The Nepal government has decided to hand over the contract of the 750-megawatt West Seti Hydropower Project and 308-megawatt SR6 Storage Hydroelectric Project to National Hydro Power Company Limited, India.

India ranks 7th among global economies for FDI in 2021 despite decline in investment to $45 bn: UN

According to UNCTAD World Investment Report India, which had received $64 billion in FDI in 2020, recorded a decline in FDI inflows in 2021 at $45 billion. But India was still among the top 10 economies for FDI inflows in 2021, ranking 7th after the US, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada and Brazil. South Africa, Russia and Mexico rounded up the top 10 economies for FDI inflows in 2021.

Rosatom supplies TVS-2M #nuclear fuel to India, enables Kudankulam NPP to start operations in longer fuel cycle

Russian state-owned Rosatom, which offers energy solutions across the nuclear supply chain, has supplied the first batches of TVS-2M nuclear fuel to India for the two functioning units of Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), powered by VVER-1000 reactors.

After the nearest refuelling, power unit 1 will start operations in 18-months fuel cycle, according to an official statement.
