India bridges #infra gap with China in Ladakh

The strategic road connectivity in eastern Ladakh is set to get a major boost with the construction of a bridge by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) across the Shyok river.
The BRO on Wednesday tweeted: “The construction of the iconic 120-mtr permanent bridge is in progress over the mighty Shyok, eastern Ladakh.” The Chinese have been objecting to the important DSDBO Road. The strategically important 255-km Darbuk-Shyok-Daulat Beg Oldie (DSDBO) ends at 16,614 ft high DBO, about 20 km short of the 18,700-ft high KK Pass.

Automobile giant Tata Motors has bagged India’s biggest electric vehicle (EV) fleet order of 10,000 vehicles from BluSmart Electric Mobility.
As a part of the agreement, Tata Motors will deliver 10,000 XPRES T EVs to this Deepika Padukone-backed all-electric cab service company. BluSmart Electric Mobility had previously ordered 3,500 XPRESS T #EV in October last year and the current order is an addition to this.

India’s #exports to the GCC have increased by 58.26 per cent to about USD 44 billion in 2021-22 against USD 27.8 billion in 2020-21, according to the data of the commerce ministry.

The share of these six countries in India’s total exports has risen to 10.4 per cent in 2021-22 from 9.51 per cent in 2020-21.

Similarly, imports rose by 85.8 per cent to USD 110.73 billion compared to USD 59.6 billion in 2020-21, the data showed.
