So .. this one was an entry for Craft Game Jam .. where me and a friend decided to participate

Our plan was to make a visual novel game cause we both are rusty on the coding side of things and have a chill time


was fun and all until the theme reveal...

And the theme is...

like who tf makes a visual novel about a football game😭

day 0 ..



day one started with me almost missing the jam😅

i did register .. but they said in person conformation was mandatory


so for context .. the game jam runs for 48 hrs .. it starts at 12 seat mata on friday and lasts till 12 on sunday

And i usually go there on Saturday morning , spend one night there and head back home on Sunday evening

I was panicking when a friend texted me saying that there is a limited spot left and i have to come and confirm in person

after like an hr of back and forth texting with a lot of ppl finally managed to get a spot .. which in hind site didnt matter as there was still space by the time i arrive in the morning

day 1

arrived at the jam spot with a friend

we brainstormed a bit about what we should do based on the theme n shii


and spend the rest of the day FIFA for "research purposes"😅

Night 1

So after task classification we decided that i do the writing , Background images and the whole dialogic thing cause i was already familiar with it

and he will do the character arts



Me being bad at planning first thought i would have to do like 3 images for the whole thing .. but things spiraled out of control and ended up drawing 10 instead😅

We even had an idea to use some TTS to narrate the words like a commentator ... which was ambitious given the time we had [The website i got had 5000 word limit for the free trial so i crammed everything i wrote in there .. so we had to trim the audio for every sentence and sync it afterwards .. but wef time nor skill for that]
