Let’s Talk About Resumes and Job Applications – What to Do and What to Avoid

What to DO (These actually work)

Tell your story clearly.
Write in a simple and honest way. Explain what you did and what impact it had.

Change your resume for each job.
Don’t send the same resume everywhere. Read the job post carefully and show how your skills match.

Show results, not just tasks.
Look Instead of saying “Answered emails,” write “Answered 50+ customer emails something like this”

Keep your format clean and simple.
Use easy-to-read fonts and short bullet points. Leave some space so it’s not crowded.

Proofread before sending.
Check for spelling or grammar mistakes(Specially Email and Other Contact options). Read it out loud or ask someone you trust to review it.

🚫 What NOT to DO (These things don’t help)

Don’t list every job you’ve ever had.
Only include jobs and experiences that are related to the one you’re applying for.

Don’t add personal details.
You don’t need to include your age, photo, religion, or marital status. These are not needed.

Don’t use overused words like “hardworking” or “team player.”
Instead, show how you are hardworking by sharing real examples from your past work.

Don’t send 50 resumes with the same format.
It’s better to apply to fewer jobs but with a resume that fits each one well.

Don’t worry about fancy design.
If your resume is clear and easy to read, that’s enough. You don’t need colors or graphics.

I think the don't parts are what we all did once but won’t anymore🙏

🚀 Become an Agentic AI Builder — Free 12‑Week Certification by Ready Tensor

Ready Tensor’s Agentic AI Developer Certification is a free, project first 12‑week program designed to help you build and deploy real-world agentic AI systems. You'll complete three portfolio-ready projects using tools like LangChain, LangGraph, and vector databases, while deploying production-ready agents with FastAPI or Streamlit.

The course focuses on developing autonomous AI agents that can plan, reason, use memory, and act safely in complex environments. Certification is earned not by watching lectures, but by building — each project is reviewed against rigorous standards.

You can start anytime, and new cohorts begin monthly. Ideal for developers and engineers ready to go beyond chat prompts and start building true agentic systems.

It’s far from perfect, but this is what I’ve managed to build so far. From here on, I’ll be working on this project seriously not just as a side project, but as a real product.

It might not work out, but it’s worth the shot. Plus, having something big to chase feels amazing.
Hope you all like it. 😊

Hey guys,

Two weeks ago, I launched my first product, PinShot — a visual feedback tool that lets you upload images, pin anywhere, comment, and collaborate with your team.

In just 14 days, PinShot has grown to:

800+ users
1,300+ comments pinned
600+ images uploaded
900+ projects created

All of this with no money, no income, no investment — just me and my PC!

Want to support me? 👉 https://lnkd.in/euDCMJG2
- Any amount helps me build the next app!

Don’t forget to watch the video — it’s just 1 minute!
Please share this to your audience or your friends and help me reach more and more people. 💜
