πŸ€—Basics Of Metasploit

Metasploit is the world’s most used penetration testing framework.
It is used by hackers all over the world and any pentestester or
aspiring candidate in the field of cyber security must know how to
use this framework.

Metasploit Framework has been completely written in Ruby. It
contains exploits of all operating systems such as linux, windows,
MAC OS X etc.

It is a really flexible framework because you can add your own
exploits written in Ruby or add external exploits that are not inside
the framework by default.

Basic terminology😎

Exploit : It is any piece of code, software that takes advantage of
a vulnerability or bug at the target.

Payload : This is a piece of code that runs after the exploit has
been run.It defines the type of access we need to gain on target
system.

Auxiliary : The modules that provide additional functionalities such
as scanning, fuzzing etc.

Encoder : These are used to obfuscate modules to avoid
detection by a protection mechanism such as antivirus or a firewall.

Meterpreter : It is a payload that uses stagers based on DLL
injections. It provides variety of functions like migrate, shell etc at
the target.

LHOST : Attacker’s IP address

LPORT : Attacker’s Port Number

RHOST : Target’s IP Address

RPORT : Target’s port number

HOW TO BE ANONYMOUS ON INTERNET (HIDE IP ADDRESS)??

What is IP Address?

(a unique set of numbers that identifies your device)

An IP address is a string of numbers and decimals that identifies your device and location. If you’re connected to the internet, then you have an IP address.

Your public IP address is unique and visible to everyone on the internet, so it can be used to track you

What’s my IP address?

In order to hide your IP address, you first have to know what it is. This is easy; just go to Google and enter β€œwhat’s my IP address?”

You’ll see something like this:

   "123.45.67.89

ways to hide your IP address

#1. Use a VPN to hide your IP address

What is a VPN?

VPN - Virtual Private Network

A VPN is a private network that encrypts and transmits data while it travels from one place to another on the internet. Using a VPN to connect to the internet allows you to surf websites privately and securely. And also it helps to unlock the blocked websits

How does a VPN service work?

1. Once you connect to the internet with your VPN service switched on, you will be connected to one of the VPN provider’s servers

2. At the same time they will provide you with the IP address (a unique set of numbers that identifies your device) of that particular server. Instead of using your own IP address you are using one that belongs to the VPN provider.

3. Your internet connection is also encrypted (the process of converting data into code to prevent unauthorized access) between your device and the server you’re connected to.

4. Hiding your IP address allows you to access the internet privately and helps to prevent your browsing from being tracked or traced. You are then able to surf the web privately and securely.

Most VPNs are subscription services that cost a few dollars per month for access to hundreds or even thousands of servers around the world. but also you can dowload MOD version if you are a beginner and not a expert

Best VPN to Hide your Ip : "ExpressVPN" But its a paid

#2. Use a proxy to hide your IP address

Like a VPN, a proxy acts as a middleman between your device and the internet. Websites and apps see the IP address of the proxy server and not your real IP address.

How to Setup a Proxy With a Browser

Firefox Settings??

1.Click the Firefox Button(The button in the upper left corner)

2.Choose Options

3.Click Options in the new tab

4.Choose the Advanced Tab

5.Click Settings

6.Click Manual Proxy Settings

7.In the HTTP Proxy Box enter the IP Address of the Server and the Port number

8.Click OK

#3.Use Tor to hide your IP address

Tor is browser. which makes a proxy circuit there are so many layers of diffrent Ip easy to use.

Each time you visit a website, the sequence of nodes changes. This makes it practically impossible to trace activity back to the original IP address.

The easiest way to use Tor is to download and install the Tor Browser. It works just like a barebones version of any other browser like Chrome and Firefox, and it’s completely free.

#4. Connect to a different network to change your IP address

Whenever you change networks like your using mobile data shift to roghter or hotspot, your IP address changes as well. So if you think the IP address you’ve been using has been compromised, blocked, or tracked, then you can change networks to get a new one.
