SLR – (Statutory Liquidity Ratio)
In Simple Words:
Banks must keep some money👛 aside in the form of gold 🪙 , cash 💵 , and approved securities 🗂 .
They can’t use this portion for lending or investment. It helps ensure banks always have enough safe assets.
This required amount is called the Statutory Liquidity Ratio (SLR).
SLR – (Statutory Liquidity Ratio)
SLR is a certain percentage📊 of their total deposits🪙 in the form of Gold🪙 + Cash💵 + Bonds📄 + Securities📄 , which every bank🏦 has to maintain at the end of every business day🗓 .
In Simple Words:
