Now think about Trump's overtures of adding Greenland to the US. Greenland has vast deposits of rare earth minerals. These are essential for the production of sensitive electronic components. Computer chips, for example, are largely made in Taiwan. China currently dominates the market on REE's and has its sights set on controlling Taiwan.

Now think about Trump's moves to secure the Panama Canal. China has been dominating control of this vital trade ship passage.

Now think about the tariffs on Mexico and Canada to stop the flow of fentanyl (and other things) over the borders into the US. That fentanyl is coming largely from China.
