Golden torpedo? Close, but nope. Submarine USS MONTPELIER SSN765 at Souda Bay, Crete, Greece 22 June loading a Mark 67 Submarine-Laid Mobile Mine SLMM, a weapon based on the Mark 37 torpedo.

The Mk67 can travel several miles to a predetermined location, then become a bottom mine.
