Satellite images of this region, the sharpest to be released so far, suggest that Thimphu may have no option but to accept the fait accompli presented by the Chinese in this area.
Ongoing border talks between Bhutan and China to formally demarcate their boundary have not prevented Beijing from continuing unsanctioned construction activity in North Bhutan's Jakarlung Valley.

US and Ukrainian military leaders are looking for a new strategy in the war, according to US and Ukrainian officials:
- US officials insist on a conservative strategy aimed at holding the territory that Ukraine has, digging in and building up supplies and forces throughout the year.
- The Ukrainians want to go on the attack, either on the ground or with long-range strikes, in the hope of attracting the world's attention.
This comes out, due to the fact, that the US and other allies have no further interest in delivering military aid to Ukraine as before.
