Atlas V rocket launches SBIRS Geo-5 missile warning satellite for US Space Force

The United Launch Alliance used the "Hercules V" rocket to put the space force's missile early warning satellite SBIRS Geo-5 into orbit.

SBIRS is an infrared early warning satellite network composed of multiple early warning satellites operating in multiple orbits, which specializes in monitoring the infrared characteristics of the plume of ballistic missiles when they are launched.
