RUSSIA – Servicemen of the Republic of Belarus arrived in the Nizhny Novgorod region to participate in a joint exercise with servicemen of the Western Military District.

As part of the exercise, the servicemen will jointly work out actions in the defense of tank and motorized rifle units with the support of cannon and rocket artillery. During the defense, T-72B3 tanks and BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles will conduct live fire at targets at a distance of 800 to 2000 meters. Having destroyed the main forces of the enemy, the subdivisions of Russia and Belarus will go over to the counteroffensive, conducting rapid fire from all guns.

Russian Navy: Which Submarines Will Be Delivered This Year?

The Russian Navy will receive three new nuclear-powered submarines by the end of the year Navy Commander-in-Chief Admiral Nikolai Yevmenov told the Krasnaya Zvezda daily: One Borei-A-class SSBN (project 955A) and two Yasen-M-class SSGN (project 885M). In addition it will soon commission three more conventional submarines: One improved Kilo-class SSK (project 636.3) and two Lada-class SSK (project 677).
