SYRIA – Turkey sent military reinforcements from Tel Abyad area in the north of Raqqa, northern Syria, to Sharkrak silos in the north of Ain Issa town in the same region on Wednesday.

The area is the contact line between the Turkish forces and their affiliated armed opposition factions, known as the Syrian National Army (SNA), and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

NEW – South Korea plans to introduce an integrated defense system to counter hostile unmanned aircraft at key military and government facilities after North Korea's drone incursions late last year - Yonhap

Under the project, DAPA seeks to purchase the counter-drone system to be operated by the Army, the Navy and the Air Force from local companies. It will accept bids through Aug. 8.

The system is expected to be able to detect small-sized drones and neutralize them by jamming their signals.

SYRIA – Joint exercises of the Russian Aerospace Forces and the Syrian Air Force began

The military is working out the issues of controlling the airspace of Syria.

“The effectiveness of the air defense system of the Russian group of troops (forces) is being tested. <...> The exercises will last until mid-July,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.

Electronic warfare units are also involved in the exercises to practice joint actions in repelling air strikes of a mock enemy.

SYRIA –Russian fighter jets continue to intimidate and chase US drones out of Syrian airspace

The United States has published footage showing how our SU-35 fighter "nightmares" the American MQ-9 Reaper drone in Syrian airspace. The pilot of the Russian "bird" approached as close as possible and turned on the afterburner mode, which reduced the flight speed of the American drone and forced it to deviate from the intended course.
