Supported by satellite imagery, LIBERTY I has been identified alone at coordinates 33.19765, 34.30544, where GPS disruptions have been observed in the area. This suggests that LIBERTY I is the source of the ongoing GPS jamming, particularly as it is located near the Karish gas platform, where Israel is enhancing its defenses against GPS-guided missile threats.

The shells were to be produced by a subcontractor - a South African subsidiary of Rheinmetall Denel Munition. However, the South African authorities blocked the deliveries, fearing that the ammunition might be sent to Ukraine.
