Luftwaffe chief Lieutenant General Gerhartz and Royal Australian Air Force Air Marshal Chappell have signed a Declaration of Intent that will see the first German pilots arrive in Australia in 2025.
The Luftwaffe aims to meet NATO standards of 180 flight hours per year for each pilot (40 of which are in simulators). However, low aircraft availability has had a negative impact on training.
When pilots are sent to Australia, Luftwaffe trainees are likely to receive advanced flying training at No. 2 Flying School at RAF Pearce in Western Australia. Pilot training and tactics are provided at an introductory course with training in simulators, followed by training in the Hawk Mk 127 at RAF Pearce in Australia and RAF Williamtown in New South Wales.

Hackers have successfully attacked Vega, the only supplier in the city of Snezhinsk, Chelyabinsk region. As a result, the work of the All-Russian Research Institute of Technical Physics was paralyzed.
