IRAQ – North Press Agency 📰 — The Iraqi National Intelligence Service announced on Friday the arrest of a senior leader of Islamic State (ISIS) in the capital of Baghdad.

The Iraqi News Agency (INA) reported that the Iraqi National Intelligence Service, based on accurate intelligence information, had apprehended Abu Harith Baghdad, an official in al-Qadisiyah Division and one of the most dangerous leaders of ISIS.

Australia and New Zealand on Wednesday expressed concern about a new policing agreement between China and the Solomon Islands that they said would undermine the Pacific’s agreed regional security norms.

Earlier this month the United States, Australia, New Zealand and Solomon Islands' opposition party called for Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare to "immediately" publish details of the policing deal with Beijing, amid concern it will invite further regional contest.

Wagner mercenaries moved towards Poland - Morawiecki

According to the Polish Prime Minister, more than 100 mercenaries of the Wagner group have moved towards the Suwalki Gap near Hrodna in Belarus.

They may be disguised as border guards to help illegal migrants get into Poland. But, more likely, the mercenaries themselves will try to enter Polish soil in the form of migrants to destabilize the situation.

Exclusive: Pentagon Investigates ‘Critical Compromise’ Of Air Force Communications Systems - Forbes

The Pentagon is investigating what it has called a “critical compromise” of communications across 17 Air Force facilities by one of its engineers, according to a search warrant obtained by Forbes. The document also details evidence of a possible breach of FBI communications by the same employee, who worked at the Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee.

The government had been tipped off by a base contractor that the 48-year-old engineer had taken government radio technologies home, effectively stealing them for his own use, according to the warrant, which alleged the amount of pilfered equipment was worth nearly $90,000.

The US Department of Defense is investigating a serious internal communications breach at 17 Air Force facilities.

US and Australia deepen military ties to counter China after reaching agreement to expands military cooperation

The agreement will see an increased American rotational presence in Australia to include frequent U.S. submarine visits to a base in western Australia, more U.S. access to airbases in northern and western Australia, increased cooperation between both countries in space, speeding up efforts for Australia to develop its own guided missile production capability and working to establish deeper security relationships with other countries in the region -- most notably Japan.

In accordance with the bilateral cooperation plan for 2023, signed between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a solemn opening ceremony of the tactical command and staff exercises UZAZ-2023 was held at the Chirchik training ground in Tashkent region.

Speakers at the ceremony spoke about the high level of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in the field of military cooperation and wished success to the participants of the exercises.
