TAIWAN will buy four NASAMS surface-to-air missile systems (SAMs), 300 air-to-air missiles including the AIM-120 AMRAAM medium-range missile and the AIM-9X Sidewinder short-range missile from the United States.
The SAMs will be deployed in the Taipei metropolitan area and at least Chin Chuan Kang Air Bases in Taichung, Jiashan Air Force Bases in Hualien, and Chihan Air Force Bases in Taidong.

UPDATE – Taiwan: Tomorrow will be the Taiwan Hankuang No. 39 exercise and the Wanan No. 46 civil defense exercise. The following is the content of the Hanguang exercise.
The Wanan exercise will be carried out in Taiwan and outlying islands in different time periods and regions. The public is requested to cooperate with the time period. From 24th to 27th, it will be controlled and assisted in air defense and evacuation drills from 1:30 to 2:00 pm every day. The activities of local people and vehicles will be controlled.
