🇬🇧The government has inserted a modification to the 2023 budget law into a decree addressing the effects of the Middle East conflict, placing it within the final provisions of the document.
This change would allow increased spending without updated budgets or parliamentary oversight, which a senior Treasury official described as a “botched job” and a “fraud”, while several parliamentary groups say they were unaware of it and the ministries involved have failed to provide clear explanations.

🇬🇧According to state media, an attack on Iran's southern coast and islands will result in the severing of maritime routes in the Persian Gulf through the laying of sea mines.
"Any attempt to attack Iran's coasts or islands will result in all access routes in the Gulf being mined with various types of sea mines, including floating mines that can be launched from the shore," the statement reads.
"In this case, virtually the entire Gulf will find itself in a situation similar to that of the Strait of Hormuz for a long time... We must not forget the failure of more than 100 minesweepers in the 1980s to remove even a few sea mines."

🇬🇧Rybar reported heavy fighting in the industrial zone and on the approaches to Kostyantynivka, as Russian forces attempt to advance toward the city and consolidate positions in nearby areas such as Ivanivske and Chasiv Yar.
