India Today: Maoists write to 3 chief ministers, offer mass surrender by February 2026

The CPI (Maoist) has written to the Chief Ministers of three states expressing willingness to surrender and seeking time until February 2026 for all cadres to lay down arms.

These cadres will try to sign a peace pact/Suspension of operations (SoO) with govt.
Govt shouldn't accept their demands if they ask. It'll help them to be functional if SoO is signed.

When the cadres are arrested, they've to spend their life in prison/Proper punishment.
When they surrender, they get rewards equal to their Bounty & some extra allowances.

Bijapur: 41 Naxalites have surrendered,Among them,12 are women Naxalites. A total reward of ₹1.19 crore had been announced on 32 of the surrendering Naxalites.
