HIGH ALTITUDE BALLON - A BRIEF
✓ Bloons have been in frequent used for schedule tickets now through the first use go back to at least 200 years.they are used mainly for scientific purposes but increase thengle for tourism and joy rides,
surveillance and disaster relief and rescue.
✓ These balloon can be large as football stadium and go up to 40 to 50 km from the ground and carry a thousand kilogram for payloads.most of these are built of thin sheets of polythene like common plastic bags and I feel mostly with the helium gas.
Balloons have a basket attached to them called gondoals that carry instruments or human beings.
SCIENTIFIC MISSION

The advantage is they can over over an area for a prolong time big balloons carry a thousand kilograms of a pay load which means they can packed with spying instruments.
The bigger advantage is to be remains undetected. Because of their relatively slow motion, they are flagged by birds by defence radars.
BALLOONING IN INDIA
✓Scientific balloons have been used in India for more than 70 years the first one have been sent in 1948 by Homi Bhabha for cosmic research from TIFR Tata institute of fundamental research.
✓Sometimes later in 1969 the TIFR open the full fled balloon facility in Hyderabad which remains India's largest speciality today. It is regularly used by the space institution under ISRO and weather research institutions like Indian Institute of Tropical Metrology in Pune.
Institution like the Bengaluru based Indian Institute of Astrophysics and Hyderabad's Osmania University as well as some private educational institutes also have balloon programs.

✓LHS 475 b as named, is located just 41 light years away, orbits very close to a red dwarf star and completes a full orbit in two days.
