- Since 2020, TON technology has been supported and improved by the open-source community
- Last year, Telegram users obtained the opportunity to buy and sell usernames and identifiers on Fragment, a TON-based auction platform
- The initiative was a major hit, bringing Telegram an additional $120 million in revenue and a significant increase in the value of its digital assets
- This success demonstrated Telegram's Web 3.0 potential, allowing users to own their identity on social networks
- Now Telegram plans to integrate blockchain technologies even deeper by including TON Wallet in the settings and attachments menu for all users, with the exception of the United States and some other countries

The Open Network, after going head to head with TRX, broke ahead and took the 10th place on CoinMarketCap's cryptocurrency rating.

Its capitalization reached $7.48 billion, surpassing TRX (at the time of writing) by $15 million.

TON already jumped to 9th place in the global ranking of cryptocurrencies by capitalization.

TON keeps climbing up and has overtaken Elon Musk's favorite $DOGE, now going for $ADA.

This means that TON is already 8th in the whole world and is quickly approaching the next milestone.

The capitalization of TON has reached $8.85 billion, surpassing $DOGE by 12 million, and has only $150 million to go before the next rank.

TON entered the TOP 50 in September 2022 in 33rd place, and by December has reached TOP 20. Since then, it keeps relentlessly going up.

This will for sure make waves in the crypto community and will bring in new partnerships, developers, users, and that exact mass adoption that has been recently foretold at the Token2049 conference.

📰A new Telegram update

Telegram now gives premium users a way to support their favorite channels! Each gets a vote, or "boost" that can be cast on any channel. The more boosts, the higher the channel's level. And every new level allows it to publish one additional story per day for all of its subscribers.

Regular users and channels can react using stickers, one for each story. Premium users, on the other hand, can react with up to 5 stickers at a time.

Stories can also contain audio files from the device's memory. Thus, users will be able to share their favorite music, audiobooks, or recordings.

These are some of the new features Telegram has introduced to solve challenges and create opportunities for development. Voting allows users to support their favorite channels and filter high-quality content. In addition to improved user engagement, it expands opportunities through a new system of recommendations, known as the "channel feed".

These new features will set Telegram on its way to become a big player on the Web's advertising space, so the goals for the 28th year may be reached sooner than we think, who knows🤷‍♂️

TON Foundation has partnered with Chainbase and Tencent Cloud to speed up blockchain development as it enters a new era of mass adoption of Web3 in the Asia-Pacific region.

Tencent Cloud is a leading cloud provider that offers reliable computing resources and an optimized network connection through its global cloud infrastructure. It has steadily supported TON validators and plans to further expand its services to meet TON's needs for high computing intensity and network bandwidth.

Tencent Cloud and TON Foundation support the development of web applications, Telegram bots, and games that use TON. For all TON-based projects, Tencent Cloud will provide cloud credits and discounts on products available under the Tencent Cloud Startup Program (subject to approval).

Chainbase in turn will offer the first product for indexing TON data. This will make it possible to freely use, request, and analyze all TON data to suit the unique tasks of developers.

The balance of our fund at the time of writing is 586,505,870 TON (~$1,284,447,856), which already makes it the largest fund holder in the TON ecosystem.

Total deposits amount to 432,400,446 TON, the reward pool grew by 154,105,318 TON, yielding an APY of 9.1%.

The fund's balance is 11.62% of the total Toncoin issue (5,047,558,528 TON).

Keep in mind that the goal of our fund is to attract large TON holders, early miners, and projects willing to support the community by freezing their funds for 5 years.

On October 23rd, a 2-year freeze will begin, followed by a 3-year vesting stage, in which depositors will be able to withdraw 1/36 of the invested funds.

💰TON rakes in 8-digit investment from MEXC

Today, MEXC Ventures announced a strategic partnership with the TON Foundation through a whopping 8-figure investment deal. The initiative aims to reduce entry barriers and foster the global adoption of Web3 .

As part of the deal, MEXC will provide marketing services and promote of TON-based projects on its platform. The company will also launch a TON collateral lending service and waive commission fees for trading TONcoin.

In addition, MEXC Ventures will continue to finance TON-based mini-apps and support TON-based projects as Megaton Finance, TONPlay, Fanzee and Sonet. MEXC and the TON Foundation are also discussing the possibility of financing a crypto wallet in Telegram, as per Justin Hyun.

"By working with MEXC, we will bring global access to the decentralized Web 3.0 ecosystem in Telegram", Hyun said, adding:

"The technology should be convenient and easy to use for anyone, no matter their knowledge of the world of blockchain. With TON on Telegram, crypto becomes as easy as texting."

🏆Details on the Public Test

Today the TON Foundation announced its initiative to be officially accredited in the Guinness Book of Records as the fastest blockchain in the world.

The upcoming public test of its network performance will demonstrate the reliability, scalability, and speed of the TON blockchain.

TON Foundation, in collaboration with Alibaba Cloud, will create 256 servers as validator nodes and launch a separate TON blockchain network to conduct performance tests.

Since 2022, the TON blockchain has been growing exponentially. The number of network addresses has increased 20 times: from 170 thousand to 3.5 million. Its user base has grown along with the number of TON validator nodes. The decentralized network now boasts 350 nodes spanning over 25 countries.

The upcoming performance test is a crucial step in demonstrating the unique capabilities of the TON blockchain, which is now an official infrastructure layer for the Web3 ecosystem in Telegram.
