Situation on the frontlines as of March 7, 2023

▶️ On the Belarusian and Siverskyi direction — no changes.

▶️ On the Svatove direction — fighting continues in the forests of Kreminna, near Makiivka and Ploschanka. Near the latter, the enemy has partial success.

▶️ On the Bakhmut direction — enemy continues to occupy Zabakhmutka. The enemy's capture of the Ilyinivka area in Bakhmut has been confirmed. The enemy continues to try to improve the tactical position on the northern and southern facets of the Bakhmut salient. Active fighting is taking place near Zaliznyanske and in the area of Rozdolivka.

▶️ On the Avdiivka direction — katsaps captured Vesele near Avdiivka and are trying to improve their position there. Active assaults on our positions have been going on for several days. We note that the Russians have engaged significant forces in that area. In addition, the enemy is making progress north of Vodiane. The situation in Nevelske, Maryinka, Pobeda and Vuhledar is unclear.

▶️ On the Zaporizhzhia and Tavria direction — no changes.

🗂 Analytical note. Although almost all the attention is focused on Bakhmut and the surrounding area, the enemy continues to have the initiative on the Svatove and Avdiivka frontline. Capturing Vuhledar and Maryinka are their main objectives, and encircling Avdiivka is the main one, as the latter is actually already a bridgehead in that part of the contact line. Traditionally, the situation in Bakhmut is difficult, but despite this, the enemy has not made any significant progress.

🇬🇪Protesters in Georgia continue their protest and their numbers are growing

⚡️ Recently, they announced their conditions to the government, demanding that the draft law on 'foreign agents' be withdrawn from parliament and that all detainees be released. They were given an hour to do so. The time has now expired, so the protesters have set out to surround the parliament and plan to disrupt the legislature's work tomorrow.


🙋🏻‍♂️People are also calling on the police to take their side. So far, there have been no violent clashes like yesterday, but the events are gaining momentum, with some protesters trying to tear down the fences around the parliament.

▶️ On the Svatove direction — fighting is taking place in the forests of Kreminna, near Makiivka and Ploschanka. The enemy is intensifying its activities in the area of Hryanykivka-Lyman Pershyi. No changes were recorded.

▶️ On the Bakhmut direction — fighting continues near Zaliznyanske. The enemy tried to enter Dubovo-Vasylivka to gain a foothold there, with partial success. This maneuver seems to be connected with unsuccessful attempts to enter Bohdanivka, so the katsaps decided to shift the attack to the left flank of the village. Fighting continues in the south of Bakhmut.

▶️ On the Avdiivka direction — Localized clashes continue. No changes have been recorded.

▶️ On the Zaporizhzhia and Tavria direction — no changes. Successful artillery strikes by the Defense Forces on decision-making centers personnel and ammunition depots continue.

🗂 Analytical note. Again, we will talk about Bakhmut, as we received the most information from there over the past day. The enemy is trying to stretch the breakthrough rather than close it to raise the cost of holding Bakhmut. To be frank, a week ago the forecasts for the city were disappointing, but in recent days a tremendous amount of work has been done to prevent the enemy from encircling the city. This is the main merit of Ukrainian soldiers.

🇬🇪 Georgia's ruling party withdraws law on 'foreign agents' adopted in first reading

✍️In a joint statement, the political councils of the "Georgian Dream", the "People's Power", and the parliamentary majority noted that "the adopted draft law caused divergent opinions in society" and "its adoption in the first reading was presented as a departure from the European course in the eyes of a part of the public."

💭«Given all of the above, as a government responsible to every member of society, we have decided to unconditionally withdraw the draft law we supported without reservation. When the emotional background subsides, we will better explain to the public what the draft law was for and why it was important to ensure transparency of foreign influence in our country. To do this, we will start meetings with the public and inform them about every detail of the case».

💼On Tuesday, 7th of March, the Cabinet of Ministers (CoM) considered an information report and a draft decree on the free transfer of state-owned vehicles to Ukraine. The government decided to transfer eight state-owned vehicles to military units of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Vinnytsia Regional Clinical Hospital and the territorial medical association of Kupiansk Council free of charge, the website says.

🇺🇸🇮🇱US Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin visited Israel and met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

🗣The purpose of the visit is to call for a reduction in tensions in the west bank of the Jordan river, where three "Islamic Jihad" fighters were recently killed.

💭«The United States (remains) firmly opposed to any acts that could trigger more insecurity, including settlement expansion and inflammatory rhetoric,» Austin told reporters after meeting with Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant.
