Situation on the frontlines as of March 6, 2023

▶️ On the Belarusian and Siverskyi direction — no changes.

▶️ On the Svatove direction — fighting is taking place in the forests of Kreminna, near Makiivka and Ploschanka. The enemy is strengthening its artillery presence. The area of Dibrova has been updated recently.

▶️ On the Bakhmut direction — enemy continues to occupy Zabakhmutka (the lower part of the eastern bank of the city). The katsaps have partial success on the outskirts of Bohdanivka, windbreaks near the heights (above Dubovo-Vasylivka) and on the road to Sloviansk. The enemy resumed active assault operations along the Razdolivka-Vesele line. Fighting continues near Spirne and Bilohorivka (L). The area of the canal near Stupochki has been clarified.

▶️ On the Avdiivka direction — fighting continues near Krasnohorivka (A), Vodiane, Pobeda, Vuhledar and in Marinka itself.

▶️ On the Zaporizhzhia and Tavria direction — no changes.

🗂 Analytical note. The enemy succeeds in places where there is the least resistance, so on the northern face of the Bakhmut salient, they are trying to simply press into weaknesses along the entire contact line. The Defense Forces continue to make extraordinary efforts to hold Bakhmut.

✍️87 Mariupol defenders from Azovstal, 35 - from the eastern direction (Bakhmut and Soledar). Among the released are 53 servicemen of 🇺🇦 the Armed Forces of Ukraine (including 8 from 🛡 Territorial Defence Forces), 25 from🇺🇦National Guard of Ukraine, 23 from 🇺🇦 State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, 21 from 🇺🇦 Military Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and 8 from State Special Transport Service. 

📌 The youngest person released is 20 years old, the oldest is 64 years old.

▶️ On the Svatove direction — fighting continues in the forests of Kreminna, near Makiivka and Ploschanka. Near the latter, the enemy has partial success.

▶️ On the Bakhmut direction — enemy continues to occupy Zabakhmutka. The enemy's capture of the Ilyinivka area in Bakhmut has been confirmed. The enemy continues to try to improve the tactical position on the northern and southern facets of the Bakhmut salient. Active fighting is taking place near Zaliznyanske and in the area of Rozdolivka.

▶️ On the Avdiivka direction — katsaps captured Vesele near Avdiivka and are trying to improve their position there. Active assaults on our positions have been going on for several days. We note that the Russians have engaged significant forces in that area. In addition, the enemy is making progress north of Vodiane. The situation in Nevelske, Maryinka, Pobeda and Vuhledar is unclear.

▶️ On the Zaporizhzhia and Tavria direction — no changes.

🗂 Analytical note. Although almost all the attention is focused on Bakhmut and the surrounding area, the enemy continues to have the initiative on the Svatove and Avdiivka frontline. Capturing Vuhledar and Maryinka are their main objectives, and encircling Avdiivka is the main one, as the latter is actually already a bridgehead in that part of the contact line. Traditionally, the situation in Bakhmut is difficult, but despite this, the enemy has not made any significant progress.

⚡️ Recently, they announced their conditions to the government, demanding that the draft law on 'foreign agents' be withdrawn from parliament and that all detainees be released. They were given an hour to do so. The time has now expired, so the protesters have set out to surround the parliament and plan to disrupt the legislature's work tomorrow.
