Iran and Israel telegraph and publicize their attacks, nothing substantial happens, most missiles get shot down, and the war machine keeps printing money.
Yes I understand people are dying, but it feels more like a propaganda war than a kinetic one. Military targets are not the point of the missiles. This is about perception.

But today’s Navy is too small to meet the demands placed on it. As a result, traditional Navy tasks, such as enforcing sanctions, are far down the priority list. But this capability gap could be filled if we had the boldness to bring back privateers.
