Here is Stormy’s complaint to a social media forum for other horse owners in the Rockwall area.
Summary of her complaints:
1. Her horse Bailey died (drowning). Stormy was paid insurance money.
2. Fella had colic that required surgery. Ellen did nothing.
3. Ziggy was turned out in a storm. Ellen did nothing, but managed to take pics of the storm and post pics. As a result Ziggy got a season ending injury.
4. Buzz had an issue. Ellen didn’t take to vet, but rather treat herself. He also had an issue which caused him to go lame and be eliminated by USEA.
5. Galli lost 200 pounds in the span of a few months...leaning him with a skeletal appearance.
5. Ellen overworked Stormy’s 3 year old horse (no name given)...jumping the horse higher than was given permission. The horse required treatment and 4 months off.
As Stormy tells it...under the Care of Ellen Doughty-Hume one horse died, one became crippled, and 5 others required surgery/hospital stays.
