The childhood Eastern Stars are called The Rainbow Girls my sister was one when she was a young teenager. The boys version of the Masons are the DeMolays, named after Jock DeMolay, my brother was one of those. I was black balled :):):)

I quit buying the cookies when I found out they supported Planned Parenthood. I grew up being a Brownie, Camp Fire Girl and a Girl Scout. The daughter of my Girl Scout leader (while we were still all Scouts together) died and her death always seemed to be a mystery. I just remember (I'm 74 now) all those years ago it was all hush hush and no one would say how/what she died from. I remember thinking it was weird and our Girl Scout troop dissolved right after her death.

The Lutheran school I had my kids in wanted all members to remove their kids from scouts and various adult groups like Shriners, Masonic lodge, plus many more clubs. I need to re-think about going back to that church! I quit going due to a bad vibe from a new pastor. They went through new pastors every few years & id heard bad stuff about Wesleyan Lutheran churches.
