The rules committee controls everything. Dan Bishop, Jim Jordan, Byron Donalds and Chip Roy were all put on as part of the deal. Also in the House overall, it only takes five votes to thwart anything the other side does and as you saw we had six that didn't vote for KM. They got the motion to vacate the chair reinstated with only one Rep requesting and that will enable immediate removal, through a vote, of McCarthy if he doesn't uphold his bargain.
