Are there any ELA teachers in chat who can explain the sentence structure 'Samantha was at the White House in October, for IVF.' and why a comma is used in the sentence? I guess it would be appropriate if a comma was also used before the word 'in' to make 'in October' a clause but I believe it is not accurate as is. Also, what is the point of mentioning the specific month of October? The wording should say she was at the White House 'advocating' for IVF yet it is worded to seem as if she was undergoing IVF at the White House in October. Isn't that post worded strangely?

Long story short……..
Just the thought of someone taking
eggs or embryos FROM ME - just flips
me out!!!
……..and makes me very angry!
I went through 2 treatments of IVF
Before I got pregnant with my twins.
I know exactly how it works and I see
where they could VERY EASILY steal
the eggs, embryos, blood, etc…….
……..and you would NEVER know it!!!

So what are they really doing with ovaries removed surgically during hysterectomies that still contain eggs? With all the organ harvesting I'd be willing to bet they weren't actually disposed of as medical waste . . .
