This body of water sits just outside the
GRAND SIERRA RESORT Hotel in Reno, Nevada.

I used to come to this hotel since I was in high school. My Mom loves to play slots.

This hotel has had many names.

That body of water has ALWAYS been there…though I could never figure out what it was used for.

As you can see…the walls of this body of water are just CEMENT!!

No shoreline.
Just a cement pond you can drive golf balls on.

After we left Yosemite a few weeks ago, we headed East through the Nevada Desert. That’s where we saw the CLOWN MOTEL in Tonopah.

We ended up passing MONO LAKE.

This place was equally as creepy as PYRAMID LAKE

Not that far from
MONO LAKE is WALKER LAKE.

…AND right next to WALKER LAKE in the Nevada Desert is a town called HAWTHORNE!

WHY is there a Navy SUBMARINE BASE in the middle of the NEVADA DESERT…in Hawthorne, Nevada???
