Did you hear Our Military “boo” him during President Trump’s “ceremony?” Boy, I did and that “put the nail in the coffin for me.” They all literally “boo’d” the man.

I’m going to be dropping the Part 4 of our continuing “Figure Skating” dive.

The reason we started this dive is because of the plane crash that happened last week (Jan 30, 2025) in Washington DC
-AND-
the eerily similar plane crash that happened in 1961. The Figure Skating Team in that crash, were on their way to compete in the World Championships in Prague.

Both fatal plane crashes killed members from the
US Figure Skating Team…including members from
“The Skating Club of Boston.”

We last left off talking about Nancy Kerrigan and all the “rule changes” that happened around the time of the “INCIDENT.”
The “Incident” was the whacking of Kerrigan’s knee just two days before the 1994 U.S. Nationals.

Traditionally the skaters who earn the Gold and Silver medals at the US Nationals competition …go onto the Olympics.
The Bronze medalist is the “alternate.”

As a result of her injury, coupled with the uncovered “rules,” Nancy Kerrigan was able to skirt around this tradition…and go on to compete in the 1994 Olympics.

Magically…The officials from the US Figure Skating Association said “Rule 5.05 on page 193 of their guidelines states that the International Committee of the USFSA could select skaters WHO HAD NOT COMPETED IN THE MOST RECENT NATIONALS.”

was the
World Champion for 4 consecutive years.

He won the GOLD at the 1956 Olympics.


Then RETIRED.

Hayes Allen Jenkins had a brother that was a skater as well.
