THIS very thing happened to me 3 years ago. We got dropped like a hot potato. No claims. They said we were in a “fire zone,” yet all my neighbors didn’t get dropped.
We even had an insurance broker taking care of our policy. All 8 proposals for new coverage were denied.
We almost had to go through the very expensive CALIFORNIA FAIR PLAN. Pay more…get less. Pay upfront.
Fortunately there was ONE carrier willing to give us a police. Even then, I’m never really sure if that too will someday go away.

I live in the mountains in NorCal and have been absolutely RAPED by insurance companies. Not to mention the devastation PG&E (owned by BlackRock State Street and Vanguard) has wrought cutting down trees in our forests in the name of wildfire safety. I had to chase two PG&E subcontractors off my property wanting to cut down my trees that are not dangerous. The trees aren’t the danger, it is the understory that should be controlled. However we all know these are all started by dews. This devastating fire will shine a huge spotlight on all these issues. Praying for the innocent ppl of SoCal 🙏🏻♥️
