I speak fluent Italian, so when I look at Pavarotti it looks like parvus (child) + rotti (broken) in the plural. Broken children. And Luciano (luce + hanno) = they have the light, very similar to Lucifer (luce + fer) = light bearer. Just a random etymological observation.
