After Dr Bernice allegedly found the contamination with the batches of polio vaccines, a handful of prominent doctors (across the country) stepped in and threw the weight of their reputations on the side of the vaccine.

One of these doctors was Dr. Alton Ochsner….a prominent doctor in New Orleans, the founder of the Oschner Clinic and Hospital, and a key figure in our Dr. Mary’s Monkey story.

To demonstrate his conviction… that the vaccine was really ready…Dr. Alton Oschner inoculated his own grandchildren with the polio vaccine.

This was reckless and irresponsible to say the least. Think about another reason he may have done this. Any guesses??
