Because of Federal & State taxes AND people depending on government handouts is why people have issues with illegals. “They don’t pay taxes” “Why should we give them our hard earned money?” I’ve had those thoughts too.

What if Federal and State taxes go away! What if people no longer have to depend on their governments! What if we keep ALL the money we earn! What if we live in a world with no border’s? With regards to gladiatorial fights of Ancient Rome…the notion that “thumbs up he lived, thumbs down he died” was WRONG!

It was said that “Thumbs down=swords down.”

Some scholars suggest the thumbs up meant:
to thrust a sword up into the heart.

During the gladiatorial fights of Ancient Rome, a crowd extending their thumbs (up) was approval for a kill. “Extended thumbs stabbing the air in approval.”
