First, I would like to introduce myself. I am Elvis Presley and admire you and have great respect for your office. I talked to vice-president Agnew in Palm Springs three weeks ago and expressed my concerns for our country. According to staffers, the meeting was a brief one during which time Elvis showed off his collection of police badges.
Presley told Nixon that he was in full support of his presidency.

At the end of the meeting, Elvis asked for a narcotics badge.

To his surprise, Nixon granted his wish.

This was supposed to be “honorary”…or was it??

This was before there were recording cameras in the Oval Office.

This meeting was kept secret for over a year, and it wasn’t even publicized until after his death.

It is believed that Nixon in fact granted Presley a real “Federal agent” badge that day!😁
