Hey Friends!
I want to thank you all for your support on my first podcast back from my 6 week hiatus. It was nice jumping back in, especially with two incredible guests...Dylan Monroe and Lance Schuttler. I needed the break.
I also want to address any rumors that seem to be popping up as to why I was on a break. I was exhausted...my father had a stroke...and someone in my family had a car accident. We also have an upcoming wedding we are tending to. There was no “fall out” with ANY Truther. None. Please understand I really needed to step back and re-group.

On our podcast today we were supposed to cover Agent Orange. We got to the radiation poisoning and 5G but not Agent Orange.

OPERATION RANCH HAND

Operation Ranch Hand…also known as Operation Hades, was an effort by the US Military to spray over 73 million liters of chemical agents on the country… to strip away the vegetation that provided cover for Vietcong troops in “enemy territory.

What was the agent?
AGENT ORANGE!

Using a variety of defoliants, including Agent Orange, The U.S. Military intentionally targeted cultivated land, destroyed crops and disrupted rice production.

The American soldiers who sprayed the fields were promised that the chemicals would only be hurting plants, not people...but these soldiers didn't come home any better off than those they sprayed.

Vietnam Vets came home reporting unusual rates of lymphoma, leukemia, and cancer...especially those who had worked with Agent Orange.

The name Agent Orange refers to an orange stripe on each herbicide barrel rather than its ingredients.

During the 10-year campaign, U.S. aircraft targeted 4.5 million acres across 30 different provinces in the area below the 17th parallel and in the Mekong Delta...destroying inland hardwood forests and coastal swamps as they sprayed.

VIETNAM EFFECTS

Vietnam’s natural defenses were also destroyed.

Nearly 50% of the country’s mangroves...which protect shorelines from typhoons and tsunamis...were wiped out.

WHAT IS AGENT ORANGE?
Agent Orange is a herbicide and defoliant chemical, one of the “tactical use” Rainbow Herbicides.

Agent Orange contained significant amounts of 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin, often called TCDD, a type of poisonous dioxin.

WHO PRODUCED AGENT ORANGE?
Dow Chemical and Monsanto.

Vietnamese people weren’t the only ones poisoned by Agent Orange.

U.S. soldiers, unaware of the dangers, sometimes showered in the empty 55-gallon drums.

They also used the barrels to store food and repurposed them as barbecue pits.

Then came the “damage control” campaign:

One popular comic strip featured a character named “Brother Nam” who explained:

“The only effect of defoliant is to kill trees and force leaves to wither, and normally does not cause harm to people, livestock, land, or the drinking water of our compatriots.”

So sad. My uncle recently died from cancer related to agent orange. He was in Vietnam.

Allegedly, chemical manufacturers had informed the U.S. military that Agent Orange was toxic, but spraying went forward anyway.

Monsanto and Dow Chemical, took the position that the governments involved in the war were solely responsible for paying out damages to Agent Orange victims.
