First story
عیسی فرزند خوانده مریم
Jesus adopted son of Mary
شخص نیکو خصالی به مریم پیشنهاد داد عیسی را به فرزندخواندگی بپذیرد
A kind-hearted person offered Mary the opportunity to adopt Jesus
چرا؟ چون مادر عیسی زن بسامانی نبود
Why? Because Jesus' mother was not a well-off woman
اما عیسی کودکی فهیم و مستعد بود
But Jesus was an intelligent and gifted child
عیسی هرچند خردسال بود اما مستعد فهم مفاهیم الهیاتی بود
Although Jesus was young child, he was capable of understanding theological concepts.
و به همین جهت آن مرد نیکو خصال چون مادر عیسی بدرفتار بود او را به مریم سپرد
And for this reason, that good man, because Jesus' mother was an ill-treated person, entrusted Jesus to Mary.
ما نمی دانیم آن مرد چه نسبتی با عیسی و مادرش داشته
We don't know what relationship that man had with Jesus and his mother.
پدرش بوده یا خویشاوند بوده یا همسایه بوده یا از اهالی موجه آنجا بوده
He was his father, or a relative, or a neighbor, or a legitimate resident of the place
و نمی دانیم او را با اطلاع و رضایت مادرش به مریم سپرده یا آن قدر وضع مادر عیسی بد بوده که امکان چنین تصمیمی از جانب او نبوده
And we do not know whether he was given to Mary with his mother's knowledge and consent, or whether Jesus' mother's condition was so bad that such a decision was not possible for her.
بهر حال وضعیت به گونه ای بوده که صلاح نبوده دیگر عیسی در کنار مادرش بماند
However, the situation was such that it was no longer appropriate for Jesus to remain with his mother.
وقتی آن مرد به مریم پیشنهاد داد که سرپرستی عیسی را بپذیرد مریم گفت
When the man offered Mary to take care of Jesus, Mary said
من که تاکنون شوهری نداشتم و بدکاره هم نبوده ام چگونه بگویم این فرزند من است
I have never had a husband and have never been a prostitute. How can I say this is my child
قوانین مذهبی نمی گذارد که یک زن پسر بچه ای را به فرزندخواندگی بگیرد و سرپرست او باشد
Religious laws do not allow a woman to adopt a boy and be his guardian.
آن مرد گفت اگر خدا بخواهد این کار به نحوی انجام می شود
The man said, "If God wills, this will be done somehow."
تنها راه چاره این بود که مریم عیسی را بردارد و به مکان دوری ببرد تا کسی آنها را نشناسد و مدت زمانی بگذرد و سن و سال عیسی به گونه ای شود که قابل تشخیص دقیق نباشد
The only solution was for Mary to take Jesus to a remote place where no one would recognize them and a period of time would pass before Jesus' age could be accurately determined.
مریم عیسی را با خود به دیار دوری برد و مدتی همانجا ماند اما حالا باید به دیار مادری خود باز می گشت
Mary took Jesus with her to a distant land and stayed there for a while, but now she had to return to her homeland
معلوم نیست که چرا مریم باید به دیار مادری خود بازمی گشت اما گویا این بازگشت ضرورت داشته است
It is not clear why Mary had to return to her homeland, but it seems that this return was necessary.
چون که با اینکه بازگشتن مریم به سوی قومش با یک پسر بچه بدون پدر برای او بسیار دشوار بود اما او راهی دیار مادری خود شد
Because even though it was very difficult for Mary to return to her people with a fatherless boy, she set out for her homeland.
با هراس بسیار از رویارویی با قومش
With great fear of facing her people
چرا که آنها از لحاظ مذهبی نمی پذیرفتند که دختری بدون اذن قیمش ازدواج کند چه رسد به اینکه او حالا با یک فرزند بدون پدر نزد آنها آمده باشد
Because religiously, they did not accept a girl getting married without her guardian's permission, let alone that she had now come to them with a fatherless child.
و این را نیز باید در نظر داشت که چند سال پیش مریم بدون اطلاع قومش از آنجا رفته بود و دوری گزیده بود و این دوری گزیدن اتهام بدکارگی را در مورد او تشدید می کرد
And it should also be kept in mind that a few years ago, Mary had left without her people's knowledge and had distanced herself, which exacerbated the accusation of misdeeds against her.
با هر سختی بود مریم عیسی را برداشت و رهسپار دیار مادریش شد
Despite all the hardships, Mary took Jesus and went to her homeland.
First story
عیسی فرزند خوانده مریم
Jesus adopted son of Mary
شخص نیکو خصالی به مریم پیشنهاد داد عیسی را به فرزندخواندگی بپذیرد
A kind-hearted person offered Mary the opportunity to adopt Jesus
چرا؟ چون مادر عیسی زن بسامانی نبود

من که تاکنون شوهری نداشتم و بدکاره هم نبوده ام چگونه بگویم این فرزند من است

قوانین مذهبی نمی گذارد که یک زن پسر بچه ای را به فرزندخواندگی بگیرد و سرپرست او باشد

چون که با اینکه بازگشتن مریم به سوی قومش با یک پسر بچه بدون پدر برای او بسیار دشوار بود اما او راهی دیار مادری خود شد
Because even though it was very difficult for Mary to return to her people with a fatherless boy, she set out for her homeland.
با هراس بسیار از رویارویی با قومش
With great fear of facing her people
چرا که آنها از لحاظ مذهبی نمی پذیرفتند که دختری بدون اذن قیمش ازدواج کند چه رسد به اینکه او حالا با یک فرزند بدون پدر نزد آنها آمده باشد

با هر سختی بود مریم عیسی را برداشت و رهسپار دیار مادریش شد

مریم در راه از شدت هراسی که داشت چندان چیزی نمی خورد و نمی آشامید و بسیار بد حال شده بود
On the way, Mary did not eat or drink much due to his intense fear and was in a very bad mood.
در نزدیکای دیار مادریش، عیسی به او گفت چرا از این خرماهای تازه نمی خوری و از این آب روان نمی نوشی تا حالت بهبود یابد
Near her homeland, Jesus told her why she didn't eat of these fresh dates and drink of this running water to recover.
اگر قومت تو را اینگونه ببینند که مطمئن می شوند تو محق نیستی
If your people see you like this, they will be sure that you are not right.
پس حداقل اگر نمی خوری و نمی نوشی هر کسی را دیدیم بگو روزه ای و برای این است که بیحال و بدحال شده ای
So at least if you don't eat or drink, tell everyone you see that you're fasting and that's why you're feeling weak and miserable.
وقتی آنها رسیدند به دیار مادری مریم، برخی با تعجب و برخی با تمسخر به مریم گفتند: ای خواهر هارون که ادعای پاکدامنی و دینداری داشتی، تو چرا بدکارگی کردی؟ تو که پدرت مرد بدی نبود و مادرت هم بدکاره نبود
When they arrived at Mary's homeland, some said to her with surprise and some with mockery: "O sister of Aaron, who claimed to be chaste and pious, why did you commit immorality? Your father was not a bad man and your mother was not an immoral person."
در باور قوم مریم این بود که نیکی و بدی هر کس موروثی است و اگر کسی بد است حتما پدر یا مادرش بد بوده و اگر پدر یا مادری بد باشند حتما فرزند هم بد می شود
The people of Mary believed that everyone's goodness and badness is inherited, and if someone is bad, their father or mother must have been bad, and if the father or mother is bad, the child will also be bad.
هم چنین اگر کسی حرام زاده باشد یعنی تولد او ناشی از روابط نامشروع زن و مردی باشد حتما او شخص بدسیرتی است و به تعالی راه ندارد
Likewise, if someone is born illegitimate, meaning that their birth is the result of an illegitimate relationship between a man and a woman, they are definitely a person of bad character and have no path to excellence.
مریم در برابر این هجمه قومش، به جای اینکه خود پاسخی بدهد به عیسای کودک اشاره کرد تا پاسخ را از او بخواهند
In response to this attack by her people, Mary, instead of giving an answer herself, pointed to the baby Jesus so that they could ask him for the answer.
قوم مریم متعجبانه گفتند چطور اینگونه مسائل را از یک کودک بپرسیم که از روابط زناشویی چیزی نمی داند
Mary's people were surprised and said, "How can we ask such questions of a child who knows nothing about marital relations?"
در این میان عیسی شروع به سخن گفتن کرد و آنچنان متعالی سخن گفت که همگان را در طعنه زنی ساکت کرد
Meanwhile, Jesus began to speak, and spoke so sublimely that he silenced everyone in mockery.
عیسی طوری سخن گفت که هم همگان فهمیدند او مفاهیم الهی را خوب می داند و هم مریم مادر او نیست بلکه تربیت و سرپرستی او را بعهده گرفته چرا که مادرش زن بسامانی نبوده است
Jesus spoke in such a way that everyone understood that he knew divine concepts well and that Mary was not his mother, but rather had taken on the responsibility of raising and caring for him, because his mother was not a well-ordered woman.
بدین گونه عیسی توانست در میان قوم مریم زندگی کند و بزرگ شود و بعدها که از او درباره مادری که او را زاده بود پرسیدند گفت که علی رغم بد مادریش من نسبت به او نامهربان نیستم
Thus, Jesus was able to live and grow up among the people of Mary, and later, when he was asked about the mother who gave birth to him, he said, "Despite her bad motherhood, I am not unkind to her."
On the way, Mary did not eat or drink much due to his intense fear and was in a very bad mood.
در نزدیکای دیار مادریش، عیسی به او گفت چرا از این خرماهای تازه نمی خوری و از این آب روان نمی نوشی تا حالت بهبود یابد
Near her homeland, Jesus told her why she didn't eat of these fresh dates and drink of this running water to recover.
اگر قومت تو را اینگونه ببینند که مطمئن می شوند تو محق نیستی
If your people see you like this, they will be sure that you are not right.

شگفتیهای عیسی
The Miracles of Jesus
عیسای جوان با هوش و استعدادی که داشت طبابت یاد گرفت به نحوی که از ظواهر مراجعانش می فهمید که آنها چه می خورند و می نوشند با اینکه پنهان می کردند. احتمالا آنها چیزهایی را پنهانی می خوردند که در مذهبشان ممنوع بود
The young Jesus, with his intelligence and talent, learned medicine in such a way that he could tell from the appearance of his patients what they ate and drank, even though they hid it. They probably ate things secretly that were forbidden in their religion.
از دیگر تواناییهای عیسی در طبابت درمان بیماری پیسی بود
Another of Jesus' medical abilities was the treatment of leprosy.
او آنقدر در طبابت ماهر بود که بیمارانی که از شدت بدحالی در بستر مرگ بودند را هم درمان می کرد
She was so skilled in medicine that she treated patients who were on their deathbeds due to their severe illness.
در میان این مهارتهای طبابتی عیسی به کاشت گیاه قاصدک هم پرداخت و از آن برای بهبود اوضاع آن منطقه استفاده برد. ما نمی دانیم که پرورش قاصدک برای مقاصد دارویی بوده یا تاثیر بر روی کشت و کار
Among these medical skills, Jesus also cultivated dandelions and used them to improve the conditions in the area. We do not know whether the cultivation of dandelions was for medicinal purposes or to influence farming.
محتملا این توانایی های عیسی علاوه بر استعداد و هوش او، ریشه در زادگاه او هم داشته بدین طریق که مثلا عیسی در کودکی با دانش یک طبیب آشنا شده بوده باشد و بعد خود در فراگیری بیشتر مهارتهای طبابت کوشیده باشد
It is likely that these abilities of Jesus, in addition to his talent and intelligence, were also rooted in his birthplace, such that, for example, Jesus may have been introduced to the knowledge of a physician as a child and later sought to learn more medical skills himself.
این تواناییهای عیسی در طبابت میان قوم مریم بسیار عیسی را مشهور کرده بود و چون او از هدایت الهی و انحرافات مذهبی هم سخن میگفت، خشم سردمداران آن منطقه را برانگیخت
These abilities of Jesus in medicine made him very famous among the people of Mary, and because he spoke of divine guidance and religious deviations, he aroused the anger of the leaders of that region.
فشارها بر عیسی و طرفدارانش باعث شد که عیسی دیگر علنی و شفاف سخن نگوید و رمزگونه با طرفداران نزدیکش سخن بگوید
The pressures on Jesus and his followers caused him to no longer speak openly and clearly and to speak cryptically to his close followers.
فشارها بر عیسی آنچنان افزایش یافت که او مجبور شد مخفیانه زندگی کند
The pressure on Jesus increased so much that he was forced to live in secret.
عیسی طرفداران بسیار نزدیکی به خود داشت و با آنها جلسات مخفیانه می گذاشت و بالاخره یکی از آن طرفداران او را لو داد
Jesus had very close followers and held secret meetings with them, and eventually one of those followers betrayed him.
عیسی را بازداشت کردند و او را به صلیب کشیدند و زجرکش کردند تا درس عبرتی برای دیگران شود
They arrested Jesus, crucified him, and tortured him to serve as a lesson to others.
غافل از اینکه این نحوه کشتن عیسی باعث شد او شهرتش بیشتر شود و سخنانش بیشتر نقل شود
Unaware that this way of killing Jesus made him more famous and his words more widely quoted.

شگفتیهای عیسی
