There has been exponential growth in the number of cybercrime registration after we started registering cyber crimes in local police stations apart from CEN police stations. This shows how widespread cybercrimes are currently. We are also focusing on capacity building by training staff of local police stations in handling cybercrimes and are also providing the required tools and technologies
Drug menace has emerged as a multi-headed hydra and spreading its tentacles in the society at all levels. Easy availability and easy acceptability have made drugs fashionable with the younger generation. We have adopted a two-pronged approach โ going after drug peddlers and disrupting the supply chain on the one hand and trying to create awareness among all sections of the society against drugs

Are you concerned about ageing? List the elements of the ageing process that are particularly worrying. Would you describe these as biological, psychological or social aspects of ageing? Sociologically, how would you explain why many people try so hard to delay the inevitable biological ageing process?

https://frontline.thehindu.com/news/mohini-giri-womens-rights-icon-ncw-war-widows-gender-justice-activist-obituary/article67661510.ece
Known as a determined social activist, Mohini Giri was committed to the cause of oppressed women, regardless of caste or religion. She consistently supported national womenโs organisations and opposed the erosion of womenโs rights over the years. In 2000, she became the founder-trustee of the Womenโs Initiative for Peace in South Asia.
Unafraid to tackle contentious issues, Mohini Giri faced criticism for encouraging fifteen widows to wear colourful clothes and jewellery. In 2013, media reports indicated that she was physically attacked in South Delhi while intervening to prevent the molestation of a teenager.
In 2007, Giri was honoured with the Padma Bhushan. Five national womenโs organisations, including the All India Democratic Womenโs Association and the National Federation of Indian Women, paid tribute to her, expressing their loss of one of their โmost eminent friends and allies in the all-India womenโs movement.โ

๐ต Indiaโs jobs crisis, the macroeconomic reasons - The Hindu
https://www.thehindu.com/opinion/lead/indias-jobs-crisis-the-macroeconomic-reasons/article67671927.ece
The symptoms of low labour demand
At the outset, it is useful to distinguish the two types of employment that prevail in an economy such as India. The first is wage employment which is a result of labour demanded by employers in their pursuit of profits. The second is self-employment where labour supply and labour demand are identical, i.e., the worker employs herself. A further useful distinction can also be made between wage labour and jobs. The first includes all forms of labour done for an employer including daily wage work at one extreme and highly paid corporate jobs at the other. But, jobs generally refer to relatively better paid regular wage or salaried employment. In other words, all jobs are wage labour, but all wage labour cannot be called jobs. When we speak of a jobs problem, we are speaking of inadequate labour demand particularly for regular wage work.
The Indian economy has historically been characterised by the presence of both open unemployment (out of work job-seekers) as well as high levels of informal employment consisting of the self-employed as well as casual wage workers. The last is also called โdisguised unemploymentโ because, being similar to open unemployment, it also indicates a lack of adequate employment opportunities in the formal sector.
